Titirangi Primary School

Help us build a safer, more inspiring space for our Junior students

Every dollar raised during the 2026 Quiz Night is dedicated to two specific goals for our school:

  • Junior Playground Upgrade: Replacing the aging safety mats and adding two new "climbing structures" designed to improve motor skills for our Year 1-3 students.
  • Digital Discovery Kits: Purchasing 15 new tablets for the school library to support interactive learning and coding workshops.

At Titirangi Primary, our community is the heart of everything we do. Our current junior playground has seen thousands of happy kids over the last decade, but it’s starting to show its age.

Imagine our 5 and 6-year-olds having a brand-new, modern 'Discovery Zone' where they can play safely and develop their confidence. By purchasing a ticket or bidding on an auction item, you are directly contributing to these physical and digital tools that our teachers need to provide the best environment for our kids.

Our goal for this night is $5,000.

If we reach this target, we can start the playground installation during the next school holidays.

Let's build the future of Titirangi Primary together, one quiz question at a time!

Questions & Answers

Titirangi Primary School

Kia ora and Welcome to Titirangi School.

We are a vibrant and community-minded school based in Waitakere City, on the doorstep of Te Wao Nui a Tiriwa, The Waitākere Ranges.

At our school, we celebrate the values of ako tahi, where the connectedness of teaching and learning fosters growth not only academically but also personally. Through this collaborative approach, we empower each other to reach our fullest potential, recognising that every member of our community brings unique strengths and perspectives.

Manaakitanga is at the heart of all we do. We believe in nurturing a culture of kindness, respect, and care, not only towards each other but also towards our environment. As an enviro school, we are committed to sustainability and kaitiakitanga, instilling in our ākonga (students) a deep appreciation for the natural world and their role in preserving it for future generations.

Whanaungatanga, the spirit of belonging and connectedness, is woven into the fabric of our school community. We celebrate diversity and inclusivity, embracing cultural richness and honouring the unique heritage of each individual. Together, we create a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, heard, and respected.

Our school is committed to providing a space where students receive a well-rounded education that includes learning languages, about the arts and about their own health and well-being, while also striving for excellence in numeracy and literacy. Our school is a member of the Kōtuitui Kāhui Ako with several of our neighbouring schools. We aim to offer our tamariki a seamless learning pathway to support them on their journey.

As we journey together, guided by the wisdom of our ancestors, let us remember the whakataukī: "He waka eke noa.” A canoe which we are all in with no exception.

Our school is more than just a place of learning; it is a whānau, a community where connections are nurtured, and relationships are cherished. Together, we strive to create a positive impact, not only within the walls of our classrooms but also in the wider world around us.
