Rock up to school and park in the Principal's car park - your child's name will be added to the sign! Then spend the day with Mr Grady undertaking some of the duties of being the Principal including crossing duty, observing in classrooms and working with Mrs Dunne and Mrs Anderson-McGhie.

Hand out extra morning tea time to classes doing a great job then enjoy lunch out (at a venue chosen by the "Principal for the day") and a visit or meeting at another school or kindy (depending on the age of the child).

A parent needs to be available to come for the lunch and school visit due to the regulations about transporting children.

Matua Ngaru School

We are a school of 570 students based in Huapai and opened in 2019. As part of our Quiz Night fundraiser we are holding an auction with items kindly donated by our generous sponsors.

Our newly formed PTA is on a fundraising mission to build a senior playground. Our junior students are fortunate enough to enjoy a small playground designed for them but our senior students still lack a dedicated play space outside of the field and basketball court. Our fundraising goal is to give our senior students an age appropriate playground where they can be challenged while still enjoying simple play-based activity and we would really love your support.
